What Are Your Puggles Like?

My thanks to Elizabeth on the Yahoo Puggle Forum for todays topic -Puggle Personality! The question I hear frequently is what's the "average" personlity of a Puggle. They seem to vary a bit depending on whether the Puggle is more "Pug" like or more "Beagle" like but most agree they are smart energetic and cute as hell! Read what Elizabeth says about her Puggle...

every dog/puppy has their own personality and i was wondering whatkind of personality your puggle has.i have an 11 wk old puppy roxie. she must have the pug side in her.she's very fiesty and thinks she can beat up any dog no matter whatthe size. she isn't afraid of ANYTHING! but roxie adores dogs. i haveanother dog who isn't use to have a puppy around. she insists onplaying with him. he puts her in her place, however, she doesn'tlearn her lesson. she's a sweetie (when she isn't trying to eat myhand!) she's becoming more and more of a lapdog which i think is so,so adorable. she has seperation anxiety. when i leave the room shecries.. no, no, i mean screams. she loves being around people andwhen she sees someone she has to run up to them. i used to think shewas a dumb puppy (lol) but man she isn't! she has brains and learnsthings quickly. she's sneaky puppy. she is sometimes very energetic.out of the blue she'll be outside and she's zoom around my yard likecrazy and she's fast.so what are your puggles like?

My Puggle, Kisses,is almost a year old now. As you can tell from her name she is very affectionate when SHE wants to be. I am disabled and tend to nap during the day when the fatigue hits. She will lay down also either with me or on "her" couch. For the most part I can trust her to stay out of things now. However, when "her kids" get off the bus in the afternoon, she turns on the energy as soon as she sees the bus coming. She waits for them and then starts jumping and attacking them as they come through the door. She can get soooo excited at times. When she gets one of her big bursts of energy she will start running around the couch in circles at full speed. Its hilarious. She also gets excited when the Schwan's delivery guy comes, although he brings along treats for her. She recognizes his truck too. She is a very energetic, playful, affectionate big baby! She loves to be held, loves to be the center of attention, loves to give kisses all over your face and most of all loves to play fetch with her tennis ball. This is the first dog I have had since getting married 15 yrs ago and I am very glad that we chose a puggle for our family pet. She was a Christmas gift for our kids(11 & 8) last year and they still continue to tell me thank you for getting her. How many other gifts do you think kids that age continue to love and play with 10 months later? Of course, my hubby won' admit it, but I think he likes her to! LOL

One question for other puggle owners...does anyone else have the problem of their female dog getting so excited to see you that when you go to pet her, she rolls over for you to rub her belly and then pees everywhere????
